“We have been working with Murat Atif Sayar, founder of I-ORBITX, for 5 years at HotSpot Therapeutics. HotSpot Therapeutics Inc, a biotechnology company pioneering the discovery and development of oral, small molecule allosteric therapies targeting regulatory sites on proteins referred to as “natural hotspots”. Our IT and computational data sciences group practice and implement “cloud first” solutions heavily leveraging AWS and GCP technologies. The I-ORBITX team has been critical in delivering IT -based solutions that allow us to deliver first in class medicines to patients.
We have been continually impressed and satisfied with our workings with Murat. I would highly recommend him and I-Orbitx to any person or organization that would need an AWS cloud-based service, project technical or IT support. The AWS and non-AWS technical skills that Murat brings to our organization has been essential in number of projects. A few of the completed projects have been
- Setup and deployment of our AWS managed Active Directory
- Setup and deployment of Okta with Single Sign On, Adaptive MFA and Lifecycle Management
- AWS network engineering support with setting up our secure networking capabilities for our Boston, MA and Princeton, NJ facilities with our in-cloud infrastructure.
- Setting up our AWS Site-to-Site and Client Side VPN allowing us to securely connect between our AWS VPC and branch offices. We had previously had an AWS hosted OpenVPN Server hosted which was problematic and expensive to operate.
- Setting up AWS Workspaces. AWS Workspaces allows us to provide secure access to apps and data stored in AWS rather than on an endpoint device. We leverage AWS Workspaces fully managed desktop virtualization service to contract resource organizations located in the United States and Asia. Managed desktop’s have been configured specifically to support biological and chemical data entry into our laboratory management systems, data sciences, and coding/programing projects.
- Setup AWS CloudWatch. We leverage AWS built in capabilities, such as CloudWatch, to monitor our AWS resources. Dashboards were created to collect and track metrics, such as CPU usage, disk r/w, availability, and disk space alerts for our EC2 instances, successful and failed VPN connections.Routine AWS support has never been an issue with I-ORBIX. AWS EC2, RDS, S3 services are streamlined and efficient, and most importantly automatically backed up and patched on weekly and monthly schedules. Cost and usage analyses are routinely performed and reviewed to deliver actionable insight and recommendations that save us time and money. Murat, and HotSpot, firmly believe and practice that proper monitoring of usage statistics and allocation of computational resources is essential in managing cloud burn-rates with cost-savings results.
On a persona note, I highly recommend Murat Atif Sayar and I-ORBITX for providing AWS services. Murat loves to learn new skills and improve on older ones. He takes great pride and responsibility in the services provided. He strives for excellence in his work and communications. Murat has never backed down from a technical task or challenge and always willing to “get hands dirty” by diving in and performing technical work. I personally admire people more by doing this than just project management. Update: I’ve hired Murat 6 times now. He performed as promised each time. Highly recommend! I had hired several technicians and consultants on a project. No one was able to complete the task and I spent a few hundred dollars on paying people to guess at solutions. This was not the case with Murat. He knew exactly what I needed and got it done. I’ve used him twice many times now and will continue to rely on him for my AWS needs.

Got the job done, overcame a couple of issues on his own, very satisfied with the result. I will definitely ask Murat to work on our system again in the future as needed. Update one year later: I indeed asked Murat to do some maintenance and bug-fixing on the Lightsail-based apache-tomcat server. Once we identified the problem, he fixed it plus modified the setup so that the problem would not recur. He is helping us create a restore-from-backup procedure for disaster recovery.

Apparently the request was more complicated than I expected. Mr. Sayar worked to find a solution to the initial request, but suggested a better solution. After consulting with me, the proposed solution was implemented on a new server instance very quickly and then he demonstrated how to manage the new instance. A document was created for future reference. We can now resume on the path to complete our ASP.NET project!

Murat is good and persistent. Nothing happens real quick in this type of work as the expert has to first learn how everything has been set up. He is not an expert on quickbooks but got quickbooks where it shares and works. I will use him again.
