I founded I-ORBITX in Houston in 2019 and I run it as both its director and its engineer.
The name is an engineer's, not a marketer's: Intelligent Orbit eXtender. The part I still mean every day is the orbit. A satellite doesn't visit — it holds position and keeps working. I don't drop in, fix something and disappear; I stay in orbit around the systems I look after.
Thirty-plus years took me from server rooms to cloud accounts, and for the past six-plus years I have held that orbit around one biotechnology company's AWS and GCP without interruption. I don't advise and step away: “I take ownership, I operate, and I answer for the outcome.”
One view has not changed in all that time. The real force shaping the future of your business is technology. Systems that are current, secure and well-run are not overhead — “they are the part of the business that decides what comes next.” That is the standard I run your cloud to.

Work begins with a biotechnology company: a few projects, then permanent operations — and with them, the research computing layer itself. The engagement is now in its sixth year.
GCP is added; the operation becomes dual-cloud.
